A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all mailbox with ease in case you have a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet stunningly simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you have set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not need the feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
